Bob & Mark installed our solar array last year but, because of the shortage of Tesla Powerwalls in the UK, they have only been able to finish the installation recently.

Ours was quite a complex installation. We wanted to maximise the number of panels on our bungalow roof, which involved using every inch of available space. This made fixing the brackets to the roof more complex than usual as copings had to be lifted and re-seated to get brackets right up towards the peak of the roof. We also had a problem where we had originally planned to put the inverter within the bungalow as it was on an internal hollow wall. This caused significant reverb on the inverter relays when they started up and shut down in the morning and evening. CubeRoot were able and willing to put the extra effort in and move the inverter onto a solid wall for us, which solved all our problems. This was significant extra work that was undertaken to keep us satisfied.

The quality of work was extremely high. They made a very tidy job of the installation and we have been generating power with no hitches for almost a year.

We also wanted extra CT clamps fitted in various places so we could make use of the myenergi hub and application. This involved routing little wires through cavity walls to achieve a tidy installation. Again very happy with outcome.

Recently the Powerwall was fitted, which is the final part of the installation. This went in smoothly, the complicated commissioning was done successfully and It has been working well for a couple of weeks. Again we were very impressed with the tidy wiring.

We noticed a small problem where our energy provider (Octopus) was still detecting some current draw from the grid when the battery was full. We mentioned this to Bob and he started his investigation. Within a day he had solved the problem. It turns out our smart meter is not compatible with the Powerwall. This is apparently a known issue and we have been in touch with Octopus to schedule fitting a new smart meter. It was great that the CubeRoot team were able to understand our less than technical explanations of what we were seeing and investigate remotely and get to the root cause.

We can't fault their technical knowledge and willingness to solve little snags. We would whole heartedly recommend CubeRoot. We are extremely happy with the system that we have. We are also confident that if we want to upgrade, or need any remedial work doing, in the future CubeRoot will be there for us.
